Sarah Palin understands

As I've been lucky enough to receive loads of adorable clothes for Annika from family and friends, I've done practically no shopping for her. But yesterday I ran out to the mall at lunch to pick up a few practical long-sleeve shirts to layer under sweaters. Oh, the naiivete. When shopping for baby girls, you might go into the mall thinking "few" and "practical", but you're going to come out with a few bagfuls of ruffles, embroidery, shirring and smocking. At least I got the layering right. Before I knew it I had worked my way from one end of the mall to the other, my lunch hour long over, driven by the Mom-crack that is baby girl clothes.
Boy clothes are cute, but let's face it, limited. You got your T's, your pants, some sweaters. Blue and green. Throw in a cute digger graphic or some stripes, but they are not irresistable. You don't even need to see a "pintucked jumper" to want to buy it. Who cares what it looks like - it's pintucks! it's a jumper!

Now if I could just get my hands on some of those RNC campaign funds...

And I won't even tell you that I've found a French store online. And that I'm actually considering paying the shipping to get me some of that. It's serious Mom-crack.
