Today was the day that all New Englanders dread, the Day that the Heat comes on for the First Time. Also the day all New England parents dread, the Day the kids feel Too Cold to Play Outside. Granted, for kids here, it's not that cold, it's 48. But for someone born and raised in MA Jaya has little tolerance for the cold. This and his unreasonable love of white rice leads me to believe there must be something to genetic memory. So, we've made leaf stained glass, done some shopping and played Indians. Jaya informed me that he is the brave and Annika is the "straw". Annika also said "hi" this morning for the first time.
Her vocabulary right now:
bir- bird
buh-book
daGUM-yummy
JA-JA!!!!-jaya, always screamed
da-da- with a pointed finger, for everything else, unless its really for DaDa, and then it's all sing-songy and flirty.

But Sarah, we live just a street away from you and our heat has been on for weeks! If Jaya ever gets too cold, send him over here with Natalie. ;)
We're cheap.
