Nothing gold can stay

As much as I would love October to last forever, sadly, we have come to the time when the holidays start peeking around the corner, and instead of celebrating the foliage, we've just gotta rake it up. This weekend, we got a jumpstart on Halloween at the Natick Spooktacular on our town common, where Jaya hi-fived Darth Vader and took in his first pumpkin smash. And we squeezed in one last fall foliage festival at the Arnold Arboretum where we crafted all things leaf-related, listened to bluegrass music, and pretended we were in Central Park. But by the time we made it around to the cider donut tent, they were all sold out. It was a sign.
