OK, I'm only going to comment on one thing about last nights debate, because my blood pressure can't handle any more than that. John McCain repeatedly came back to the issue of spending taxpayers money. It's not always about spending taxpayer money. We don't have to spend more taxpayer money. So how the heck does he think he's going to finance staying in Iraq for the next 100 years? Wampum? If I asked Sarah Palin, she'd probably tell me that God will provide.
At any rate, as the man says, there's only two sure things in life: death and taxes. If you gotta pay them, wouldn't you want the money to go to better schools, infrastructure, researching new energy sources, and healthcare, than to finance a war that ultimately (and don't let anybody mislead you here) is about securing our access to a finite and environmentally damaging energy source?
OK, breathing in, breathing out.
