I want to be anarchy

As if infinity wasn't hard enough to grapple with, last night Jaya announced "I don't want ANYONE in charge. I want it to be anarchy." I told him if that's what he's looking for, he's in the right place. With the economic meltdown, the intense presidential race, the seemingly endless stretch of war in front of us, it just feels to me like we are less and less in control of our future every day. McCain seems like a man without purpose if he does not a war to be involved in, it's too personal with him. To me, he's not an option for that fundamental reason. But as much as I admire Obama, as things worsen daily I do wonder if he will be able to successfully get us out of this mess. And what about a future with Sarah Palin in charge? John McCain is no spring chicken. This is entirely possible, but no one ever seems to discuss it?
Last Sunday the New York Times had an interview with the author Margaret Atwood who stated, "No woman ruler has ever been successful if she has been an advocate for women at large. Not one, ever." Scary thought.
