Making contact

Due to the near impossibility of regular emailing, the sheer impossibility of regular phone conversations, not to mention the difficulty I have in just making myself heard over my children in my own home, I've decided to blog. Hopefully my friends and family scattered around the world that I don't see or speak with nearly enough will feel just a bit closer. If nothing else, my husband can read it so he doesn't have to compete with Jayas "POWER RANGERS TO THE RESCUE!" and Annikas high-pitched Power Ranger sidekick screams.

Speaking of, foremost on my mind today is the summit called by Annikas Older Infant room teachers next week because of aforementioned scream. Annika has very defined ideas of personal space which are not jiving with the 7 other toddlers in her room, thus the scream, very loudly, very often. So, I have been asked to come into school to create a "strategy". I'm not feeling very optimistic.

Tonight is the first debate and I feel jittery. Some days I want to watch and read everything about this race, others I just want to close my eyes and plug my ears till election day. But after watching the second half of "The Rescuers" with Jaya, I'll be tuning in. Go Barack!

Personally, I say "right on" to Annika's scream. Good for her for saying what she needs to about personal space. Ok, so maybe she needs to say it a bit differently, but at least you don't have one of those kids who's just a big lump.
